Theresa Brown became a Patron member of Hull Artists in 2014 after moving with her husband from Boston where they had lived for nearly 30 years. Having been active in Boston’s South End Artists Association, Theresa joined Hull Artists to connect with her new community in a meaningful way. Rather than a visual artist, Theresa’s creative passion has always been writing. Before starting her own custom window treatment business in 1990, she was a professional writer in the fields of higher education, engineering, and investment banking. Also a life-long creative writer, she has enjoyed employing her craft on behalf of Hull Artists by writing a bi-weekly column, “Portrait of the Artist”, for the Hull Times. Theresa’s “portraits” allow the reader to vicariously experience the artist’s studio, creative process, and distinct passion. She has also opened her home to Hull Artists needing space to exhibit during the Open Studios and managed art exhibits sponsored by Hammond Residential Real Estate.
