Jennifer Whelan, Susan Hagstrom and Randy Veraguas

Jennifer and Sue will both have their photographs featured in “The Front Steps Project: How Communities Found Connection during the COVID-19 Crisis”.  The coffee table book being published in November contains 400 photographs and dozen of stories from photographers all over the US and other counties!

The project was started by two Needham women who took photos of isolated family members sitting on their front porches.  Jennifer initialed the Hull Front Step Project last March along with 10 other local photographers, include HA member Randy Veraguas, who participated in this endeavor.

As quoted in an July 20th article in the Hull Times Jennifer remarked: “I’m so excited and proud that the town of Hull will be represented, and I’m so glad that the photograph of a family that is such a good representative of out town was chosen. It’s just another way to put Hull on the map.”  Jennifer’s photo captures a multigenerational family – the McDonnell on their lobster boat.  Sue’s featured image is of Town Hall employees standing in front of the Town Hall holding red hearts proclaiming “One Town, One Team”.  Randy’s photo of one of her 3 sisters,Taylor and family.
