Knitting and Crocheting Classes with Terry McMahon

Classes are $20.00 for two hours plus the cost of materials. You can learn from one of Terry’s patterns or bring your own. Seating is limited.  Classes are great for children (10 and up accompanied by an adult) or adults at any level. Come in for 1 class a month or come in every week.

Coastal Spring Wreath with Shannon Luggelle

Description: Explore decoupage techniques (including how to make Modge Podge), use of floral wire and techniques used to create braided rugs. Materials provided include wire wreath, shells, and decoupage. Students bring their favorite napkin or paper, floral wire cutters, 1” fabric strips, dried flowers.

Introduction to Water Soluble Oil Paints with Joan Appel

Description: Water soluble oil paints act and look the same as traditional oils. They are used without solvents, and clean up with soap and water. The artist will demonstrate different techniques including wet into wet, glazing, impasto. This is a workshop for people who are already familiar with using traditional oils or acrylics and who would like to explore the use of more ecologically friendly materials for creating art.

Materials list for participants:

  • Water soluble oil paints, personal choice of colors warm and cool (available online or at Michaels stores)
  • 2 or 3 canvas or panels no larger than 9” x 12”
  • rags
  • palette (paper, glass, as preferred personally)
  • brushes, palette knives
  • container for water
  • ivory soap bar
  • photos or magazine images for reference in creating a painting
