Cynthia Ryder
Pottery has long been a hobby, and for many years took I lessons at Judy Rossman’s Studio in Scituate.
When I retired I was urged to join the Hull Artists by Tess Blanco. I still consider myself more an amateur than a professional and still use Judy’s Studio. Living in Hull for 30 years I find inspiration all around me, the sea, the beach, the gardens, using real leaves to create dishes and platters.
Most of my work now is more nautical in theme, using real shells and starfish, but my handmade fish are still what I am best known for. All my platters, dishes, and bowls are food safe and oven and dishwasher proof. I feel privileged to be a member of Hull Artists and thank them for creating friendships and an outlet for my work!
