I started painting with watercolor in 2009 at the Sharon Senior Center. Since moving to Linden Ponds, Hingham, I have been doing clay sculpture, charcoal, acrylic, oil and recently pastels at the South Shore Art Center. I am a member of the Hull Art Association, the Sharon Creative Arts Association and the South Shore Art Center.
I have displayed watercolor paintings in Sharon, had a clay sculpture accepted for a juried show at the Plymouth Center for the Arts and had a one person show in all media at the Linden Ponds Gallery in 2019.
Since I started my art “career” late in life, I am constantly excited to learn new skills and mediums. My approach is intuitive while attempting to approach a “realistic” rendering. I attempt to share my emotional connection with the subject through light and color. I use techniques learned in one medium in another in a search for an artistic style.
