“I love beads, textiles and beautiful paper! As a self-taught artist in all these mediums, I have found great joy over the years. My first craft in my early 20’s was Macrame’. Remember Macrame’ plant hangers, well, I made and sold 100’s of them, Macrame’ lamps, wall hangings, and jewelry. Then came Off-loom weaving, and several years on the Board of The Valley Art Association in Forest Grove, Oregon.

Eventually, I explored Bead Weaving and was hooked. Over the years I have learned many techniques; peyote stitch, loom beading, square stitch, right-angle weave, herringbone stitch, bead embroidery, netting, daisy chain, ladder stitch, brick stitch, bead crochet & bead knitting with cord and wire.

I am currently enthralled with kumihimo. (Kumihimo, is a form of braiding from Japan that can be done with or without beads), and Sea Glass. I have made several sea-glass wreaths and am working on sea-glass jewelry designs.

I also make greeting cards incorporating Origami, a technique called “Iris Folding”, and other designs as I feel inspired.

I also do pearl knotting and restringing of broken jewelry.
