Artist Lois Peterson is best known for her eclectic vision & style expressed through her large-scale colorful acrylic paintings & collages.
Several workshops taught by artist Ted Minchin inspired she and others to understand the value in the joy of painting. Ted’s shared philosophy awarded her the freedom to explore unlimited possibilities and endless boundaries realizing that the only limitations are those we place on ourselves. Today she takes time out to share her knowledge and instills the love of art with her grandchildren.
Plein air, Impressionism, Still-Life, and Abstract Styles motivated her to create paintings with a goal of ultimately inspiring others. Her paintings are held in private and corporate collections.
Lois was delighted to teach art from her at home studio in Hingham and the Quincy Art Association. She is a member of Quincy Art, North River Art, Hull Art & Sarasota Art Association.
Lois has received numerous awards over the years from “Best in Show “to “honorable mention” at juried and association shows and continues to show her newest work.
