Paul Goes
I was born in Rhode Island and spent most of my youth there. I moved to Boston to attend the Vesper George School of Art in Boston, where I studied Art & Design. After graduating I moved back to RI and found work in a variety of design firms in and around the Providence, RI area as a Designer/Illustrator, Product Designer and Creative Design Director.
In 1991 I opened the doors of Gostudio, where I still work as an independent design contractor, involved in a variety of design disciplines including Product Design, Conceptualization, Illustration, Graphic Design, Logo development and Corporate Identity. You can see samples of my design work on-line at paulgoes.myportfolio.com and reach out to me via email at, gostudio@verizon.net for design consultation.
In 2010 my wife, Donna and I bought and remodeled a beautiful home in Hull, Massachusetts, where we soon became active members of Hull Artists. It seemed only natural to offer my design expertise to the group, first developing a new visual identity and since then, creating graphics and promotional materials for local artists, art openings and events.
I spend most of my free time outdoors and I enjoy the process of taking pictures for reference to sketch, paint watercolors and make sculptures inspired by the beauty of the area. Watercolor classes in my studio are available for individuals and small groups upon request.
Lately I’ve been creating digital sketching and painting on the ipad. You can see more samples of traditional and digital art, on Instagram: @highlandarts. For more information email me, paulgoes@icloud.com or visit our studio during the annual Open Studios events.
