Richard Foley

Born in Boston, MA, Rich received a BFA and a teaching certificate in art education at the University of Massachusetts. He worked as a contractor for several engineering firms as a Designer/Illustrator, Printed Circuit Designer, and Mechanical Engineering Designer. In 2001, Rich became a Hull, MA resident and began studies in healthcare. During this time he exhibited and sold watercolor paintings at the South Shore Art Center member show, and at a show at Sunrise Senior Living Center in Cohasset, MA. In 2006, Rich began working for the Veterans Administration. He worked as a staff nurse for the Spinal Cord Unit, then the Hospice/Palliative Unit. In 2019, He retired from the VA. Rich is now a member of the Hull Artists and the South Shore Art Center. His watercolors are currently on display at the Nantasket Gallery in Hull, MA. When not painting, Rich enjoys traveling and the beautiful vistas of the coast with his wife Dawn and their grandchildren.
