Richard Foley
“My goal is to evoke in the viewer a feeling of peaceful harmony and balance while revealing a moment in time and place. I find Watercolor, with all the subtle atmospheric impressions, to be my preferred medium.”
Born in Boston, MA, Rich received a BFA and a teaching certificate in art education at the University of Massachusetts. He has worked as an Illustrator, Engineering Designer, Graphic Designer, and as an Art teacher.
Rich’s paintings have been exhibited at local and regional juried shows including the All New England Open Juried Exhibit hosted by the Cape Cod Art Center, the Hull Artists juried show at the Nantasket Beach Resort, and the “Sea and Sky” juried exhibit at the Hull Lifesaving Museum, where Rich won 1st place watercolor in the 2021 exhibit.
Rich’s paintings have shown in group shows at the South Shore Art Center in Cohasset MA, and various town venues in Hull, MA.
As a member of the Hull Artists and the South Shore Art Center, Rich finds inspiration, support and friendship with his fellow artists.
Rich’s watercolors are currently available in Gallery Nantasket, Hull Lifesaving Museum, and at Nantasket Sweets
