Artist’s statement As a photographer, I am inspired by the world around me. Sometimes this has included far away and exotic places but more often than not, it includes the city streets, wooded paths and sandy shorelines that exist close to my home. I purchased my first 35 mm SLR camera when I was living in Bavaria, Germany and was inspired by the country’s beautiful landscape. My goal is always two-fold; to relate a connection to a subject that I felt when I took the photograph and to inspire the viewer to develop his or her own connection to the image.
I now shoot primarily with a Canon 5D Mark IV but also enjoy my Fuji XT-2 and my Leica V-Lux 5.
Bio I have my own photography business, specializing in real estate photos, events and portraits. I am an active member of the South Shore Camera Club and am a Hull Artists Gallery Artist. My award winning images have been accepted to many local juried competitions, including the Duxbury Winter Juried Show, Hull’s Sea and Sky exhibit and the South Shore Art Center Arts Fest. Born and raised in the western suburbs of Chicago, I graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan. I lived in Hingham for 20 years with my husband and three children before moving to Hull.
