Tina Watson

Painting is my life and I love seeing one of my paintings displayed in someone’s home as part of their life. Creativity has been a way of life with me since an early age. Living on a salt marsh, I’ve been very much inspired by my surroundings and love everything about the ocean. I started in clay, then on to watercolor, and now acrylics and encaustic.

As plein air artist, it was acrylics that really pushed me to another level. Encaustic painting, my latest passion, uses beeswax to create beautiful and colorful imagery with significant texture and layering. In all, I like to take a single subject and work it through to complete a series, to achieve a thorough understanding of the creative process.

I graduated from Endicott College and also attended the Boston Museum School & Massachusetts College of Art. Over the years, my art has been exhibited at many art shows and exhibitions on the South Shore and Cape Cod. I am a Juried Gallery Artist at Cape Cod Art Center and South shore Art Center. I exhibit at my studio gallery in Cohasset Village and at Artisan’s in Hingham Square.
