Boston born artist, Trish Turner, always delighted in the visual world. She settled in Hull because of the light and views offered by this beautiful town surrounded by the sea. (and stays because of all the wonderful people). She has been a member of Hull Artists for 15 years, as well as their Vice President in 2009-2010.
Her original BA, magna cum laude, was for a double major in Art Studio and Art History. For many years she worked for Jordan Marsh, Port International, Copley Place, and for various video productions as a stylist. Since then, she has taken many adult and continuing ed classes to help keep her art alive.
Trish is well known as an “en plein air” artist. She created an annual, plein air event and wet paint show at Hull’s famous Jo’s Nautical Bar called, “Let’s Do Jo’s”. For several years she has helped lead the Hull Lifesaving Museum’s Friday morning, “en plein air” sessions, and assisted with their annual “Sea and Sky” exhibit.
She exhibits regularly during Hull Artists Open Studios events and elsewhere locally, including shows at Hammond Realty, Hull Town Hall, Hull Holiday Showcase, and many others over the years.
Although plein air is her true love, she also is available for house and garden portraits, and commissions from photos.
