Val Woolley
Originally from England I have been living on the South Shore for thirty years, spending the last eighteen in Hull. There is something really magical about living surrounded by ocean and sky. An avid kayaker I love exploring all the islands, rivers and shorelines nearby. After attending a local Artists Way group a few years ago my dormant creative spark was rekindled. My earlier endeavors were mostly in crafts: pottery and weaving. I attended drawing and pastel classes at the South Shore Arts Centre and several writing classes at Grub Street. Now I enjoy taking photos in my kayak or on local walks that capture the local landscape and using them as reference photos to elicit the beauty of a scene.
